Attorney Amelia Black Zurchauer is a tenacious and driven advocate who brings both strength and heart to every case she handles. She cares deeply about people, and that compassion is precisely what led her to personal injury law. While she is approachable and genuine, she is also known for her relentless commitment to protecting her clients and fighting for what is right.
Amelia spent five years working under Ven Johnson, one of Michigan’s most respected personal injury attorneys, where she was involved in some of the most impactful cases in the state. Her experience includes representing families affected by the Oxford School Shooting, as well as advocating for numerous clients in auto accident, trucking accident, sexual harassment, dog bite, and slip and fall cases. Through that work, she helped secure significant settlements for individuals whose lives were abruptly changed through no fault of their own.
Despite success at one of Michigan’s premier injury firms, Amelia felt called to do more. She knew she wanted to build a practice focused on people and to create a firm rooted in community, compassion, and relentless advocacy. That vision led her to found Armor Injury Law.
Amelia’s background is deeply woven into her approach to the law. She is a seventh generation attorney, raised with a deep respect for the legal profession and its responsibility to protect the vulnerable. During law school, she worked in Michigan State University’s Civil Rights Clinic, representing incarcerated individuals in civil rights matters. That experience shaped her understanding of injustice, power imbalance, and the importance of standing up for those who often have no voice.
Her legal experience spans St. Clair, Wayne, Oakland and Macomb Counties, where she has obtained some of the largest settlements in the region. She combines strategic, aggressive advocacy with genuine, personal care for her clients, never losing sight of the human impact behind each case.
